Description
The Smith LNX8 Demarcation Milling Machine is a gas-powered unit designed to remove surface markings without gouging. It is equipped with a 13 HP Honda gasoline engine, weighs approximately 240 kg, and offers a working width of about 20 cm with a milling capacity of around 75 m2/h. Procured in 2007, the machine has a robust full steel frame and a foldable housing for quick access to the cutting tool. Key features include an adjustable zero point to align with the assembly, an active depth display, independent adjustments for tilt, depth, and pressure, and a robust, maintenance-free design with sealed bearings for longer life. The unit has a dust-free exhaust port with optional connection to a dust extraction system, and uses a carbide pin as the cutting tool with about 3 mm remaining groove height. The device is CE and UVV compliant and is designed to remove lines cleanly without creating grooves on a variety of surfaces. It shows paint wear and rust but no known through-corrosion.
