The Panhans 609 Format Panel Saw is a woodworking format saw supplied without accessories. It features a 1030 x 1200 mm cast-iron worktable, a 30 mm main saw blade bore, and a maximum cutting height of 140 mm with a maximum blade diameter of 450 mm. The parallel fence is 1100 mm long, the cross fence is 2000 mm and extendable to 2500 mm. The machine operates at 3000/4000/5000/6000 rpm. Cutting widths left and right of the blade are 1250 mm each. Dust extraction ports measure 120 mm and 80 mm. Overall footprint is approximately 2150 x 2000 mm and the unit weighs about 1180 kg. The fence scales are worn and the digital indicators are not functional. The machine was used as a teaching instrument in the woodworking workshop at the Karlsruhe Academy of Fine Arts and was retired in 2024 due to age. It is finished in Reseda green (RAL 6011). The unit is sold without accessories, and for transport the housing and fences have been dismantled and stored on pallets.
